Moonlight Basin is a private club set in a secluded alpine valley in Big Sky, Montana, spanning thousands of acres in one of the most natural settings in the world. It's surrounded by the Lee-Metcalf Wilderness, the Gallatin National Forest and the Spanish Peaks, with Yellowstone National Park and Bozeman each about an hour away.
As a J-1 team member you'll work in a fast-paced hospitality environment alongside people from all over the world, gaining hands-on experience in teamwork and the highest levels of service. On days off, many team members head to Bozeman for shopping, movies and concerts, or enjoy farmers markets and outdoor adventures in Big Sky.
The job as Golf Course Maintenance
What you'll do
- Assist in the daily maintenance and upkeep of the golf course under the direction of the Assistant Superintendents
- Operate light motorized equipment such as mowers, utility carts, trimmers, and blowers
- Perform routine landscaping tasks (raking bunkers, trimming, debris removal, etc.)
- Assist with daily course setup, including tee and green preparations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas
- Follow all safety guidelines and report any hazards or equipment issues
- Support the maintenance team with additional duties as needed

Housing
The employer arranges fully furnished housing in the Town Center area of Big Sky, 15 minutes from the Moonlight Basin Lodge. Rooms are shared by 2 people; you may request a roommate, though pairings aren't guaranteed. Units include internet, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and easy access to transportation. Smoking is strictly prohibited.
