About the employer
Norwich Inn is a historic, full-service Vermont country inn in Norwich, near Dartmouth College and just across the river from Hanover, New Hampshire. The Victorian building offers 38 guest rooms, a pub and dining room known as Jasper Murdock's Alehouse, and a microbrewery making hand-crafted English ales sold only on site.
It's a small, family-owned business with around 30 employees, busiest from May through October, so you'll work closely with a small team in a quaint New England town. The Appalachian Trail runs right by, with hiking, kayaking and biking nearby, Hanover is walkable, and Boston and New York are reachable by bus.
The job as Housekeeper
What you'll do
- Care for and prepare guest rooms with attention to detail
- Renew, refresh, straighten, clean, clear, and sanitize accommodations
- Collect, transport, wash, fold and store linens and other laundry
- Wash dishes in the restaurant kitchen if occupancy is low
- Perform other maintenance duties such as painting if occupancy is low

Housing
Norwich Inn rents an apartment for you for your entire stay, and living there is required. It is within safe biking distance of the Inn and includes a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, plus TV, bedding, utensils and WiFi. The fitness center at the Inn is available for you to use.
