Job duties
- Completing sales transactions, entering sales in cash register, taking money, counting out correct change, packing items in bags for customers
- Handling all types of food
- Greeting customers and providing excellent customer service
- Stocking shelves and inventory of items
- Using powered equipment such as deli slicers, bakeshop ovens and trash compactors
- Maintaining cleanliness in all areas including stockrooms, coolers, freezers, floors and checkout areas
- Collecting shopping carts from parking lot and bringing them to the store front
- Communicating with supervisors and managers regarding customer concerns, accidents and potential safety hazards
- Participating in training and attending orientation classes
- Performing all duties in a safe manner and following all company policies
- Moving to different departments around the store or taking on different job assignments as needed

What You’ll Be Doing
- Stocking shelves, rotating products, and keeping displays fresh and attractive
- Assisting customers in finding items and answering everyday questions with a smile
- Bagging groceries and helping shoppers to their cars when needed
- Working in departments such as produce, dairy, bakery, or the front end
- Keeping aisles, coolers, and the store floor clean, safe, and organized
- Supporting deliveries, unloading trucks, and organizing back-stock areas
What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 enrolled in the Work & Travel USA program
- Conversational English – you’ll be talking with customers every day
- A positive, service-oriented attitude and a genuine willingness to help
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to approximately 15–20 kg
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility with weekend and evening shifts
- No previous experience required – full training is provided
