Job duties
- Completing sales transactions, entering sales in cash register, taking money, counting out correct change, and packing items in bags for customers
- Handling all types of food
- Greeting customers and providing excellent customer service
- Stocking shelves and inventory of items
- Using powered equipment such as deli slicers, bakeshop ovens and trash compactors
- Maintaining cleanliness in all areas including stockrooms, coolers, freezers, floors and checkout areas
- Collecting shopping carts from the parking lot and bringing them to the store front

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Grocery Store Clerk you’ll be part of a friendly, fast-moving retail team at one of the busiest supermarkets on the island. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Stocking shelves, coolers and displays, and rotating products to keep everything fresh
- Helping customers find items and answering questions with a smile
- Operating the cash register and assisting at checkout when needed
- Bagging groceries and helping customers to their cars
- Keeping aisles, work areas and the store front clean, tidy and well organized
- Receiving deliveries and pricing or labeling merchandise
- Supporting teammates in produce, dairy, bakery or other departments as needed

- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy boxes
- Team spirit and flexibility — weekends and holidays are the busiest times
- No previous experience required; full training is provided
