The Sweet Spot at 5216 Providence Road in Virginia Beach is looking for energetic international students to join its Sweet Team from Summer through Fall. If you love people, fast-paced retail and earning great money, this is your spot.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Sweet Team Member you are the face of the store and the reason customers keep coming back.
- Greeting guests with a smile and helping them choose the perfect treat
- Scooping, packaging and presenting sweets, candy and desserts
- Operating the cash register and handling payments accurately
- Restocking shelves, displays and coolers to keep the store looking irresistible
- Keeping counters, equipment and the seating area clean and sanitary
- Supporting teammates during busy summer rushes and special events
Pay & Benefits
- $13.00 per hour – paid on a regular schedule
- Tips included – boost your weekly earnings significantly
- Up to 60 hours per week – excellent savings potential for travel at the end of your program

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 with a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Conversational English and confidence talking to customers
- A positive, energetic attitude and a genuine smile
- Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift light boxes
- Previous retail, café or hospitality experience is a plus but not required
