Imagine finishing your shift and driving 30 minutes to the gates of Yellowstone National Park. That’s everyday life in Red Lodge, Montana – a charming mountain town at the foot of the legendary Beartooth Highway, often called “the most beautiful drive in America.” Bogarts Restaurant, a beloved local landmark famous for its Mexican-American comfort food, hand-crafted margaritas and legendary burgers, is looking for energetic Work & Travel students to join its kitchen team this summer.
About the Position
As a Restaurant Kitchen Worker, you’ll be part of a fast-paced, friendly kitchen crew that keeps hungry locals and tourists happy every single day. You’ll learn real American restaurant skills – and you’ll get paid well while doing it.
Your Daily Duties
- Assisting cooks with food preparation: chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients and prepping sauces
- Supporting the line during busy service hours
- Operating kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers and ovens under supervision
- Washing dishes, pots and pans and keeping stations spotless
- Following food-safety, sanitation and health-code standards
- Receiving and organizing deliveries and stocking supplies
- Working as a team to keep service smooth and fast
Pay & Benefits
- $15.00 per hour – a strong wage for a kitchen position
- Tips included – kitchen staff share in tip pools, boosting your weekly earnings
- 40 hours per week guaranteed, with potential overtime during peak season
- Extended season: Summer to Fall – more weeks means more money and more travel time

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 with a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Conversational English – enough to understand instructions and communicate with the team
- Strong work ethic, punctuality and a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a warm, fast-paced kitchen
- Team players who are ready to learn
- Availability from summer through early fall (longer stay preferred)
