Forty One North is one of Newport’s most celebrated waterfront hospitality destinations, and they’re looking for energetic international students to join their front-of-house team as a Host.

This is more than a summer job — it’s your chance to work in a fast-paced, world-class American hospitality environment, build real customer service skills, and make friends from all over the world.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Welcoming guests with a warm smile and a friendly greeting as they arrive
  • Managing the reservation system, waitlist, and seating chart
  • Escorting guests to their tables and presenting menus
  • Coordinating with servers, bartenders, and management to keep service flowing smoothly
  • Answering phone calls, taking reservations, and responding to guest questions
  • Keeping the host stand and entrance areas clean, organized, and inviting
  • Helping create a memorable first and last impression for every single guest

  • Confident, conversational English (you’ll be speaking with guests constantly)

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to stay calm during a busy dinner rush
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods
  • Available for the full summer-to-fall season
  • Previous hospitality experience is a plus, but a great attitude matters most
