Professional, neat and presentable. No facial hair for employees in food & beverage positions. Men's hair must be shorter than collar length. Must practice good hygiene - frequent bathing and deodorant is requested. No extreme hairstyles or colors, only one piercing allowed in each ear and you may be asked to cover tattoos.

Imagine waking up to snow-capped peaks, waterfalls tumbling into the fjord and cruise ships gliding into a historic gold rush harbour. That’s a normal morning in Skagway, Alaska – and it can be your reality this summer. HAP Holland America Skagway Inn, part of the world-renowned Holland America family, is looking for energetic university students to join its housekeeping team as Room Attendants.

About the Position

As a Room Attendant, you are the person who makes guests feel truly at home after a long day of hiking, rafting and glacier chasing. You’ll work in a friendly, international team where every day brings new faces from around the world.

  • Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to the high standards of the Holland America brand
  • Changing bed linens, making beds and refreshing towels and amenities
  • Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising bathrooms and living areas
  • Restocking your housekeeping cart and keeping storage areas organised
  • Reporting maintenance issues and lost & found items to your supervisor
  • Greeting guests warmly and answering simple questions about the Inn
