Imagine finishing your shift and walking straight onto the sand. At Harrison Group’s Harbor Watch Restaurant, located at the very end of the legendary South Boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland, that’s just an ordinary day. This iconic seafood restaurant overlooks the Assateague Island inlet, and it’s one of the most popular dining destinations on the entire East Coast during the summer season.

We’re looking for energetic university students to join our team as Food Runners for the Summer to Fall season. If you’re fast on your feet, love a buzzing atmosphere, and want to earn money while making friends from all over the world, this is your program.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering freshly prepared dishes from the kitchen to guest tables quickly and accurately
• Communicating with the kitchen team and servers to keep service flowing smoothly
• Setting up, restocking and organizing service stations with plates, cutlery and condiments
• Helping to clear and reset tables so guests are seated fast during peak hours
• Answering basic guest questions and pointing them to their server when needed
• Keeping your work area clean and following all food safety and hygiene standards

Why Ocean City, Maryland?

Ocean City is a classic American beach town and a Work & Travel favourite. You’ll find 10 miles of free public beach, a 3-mile boardwalk packed with arcades, amusement rides, funnel cake stands and live music, plus thousands of international students working there every summer. Weekend trips to Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York City are all within easy reach, and the sunsets over the bay are absolutely worth the walk.

Pay & Benefits

• $6.00 per hour base pay plus tips – food runners at a high-volume boardwalk restaurant share in a steady tip pool during the busy season
• 35 guaranteed hours per week, with the possibility of extra hours during peak weekends and holidays

What We’re Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 enrolled in the Work & Travel USA program
• Conversational English – enough to communicate confidently with guests and colleagues
• Good physical stamina: you’ll be on your feet, carrying trays and moving fast for most of your shift
• A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Reliability and punctuality – our team depends on each other during the summer rush
• Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but full training is provided
