Imagine finishing your shift and walking straight onto a wooden dock as the sun sets over America’s most beautiful lake. That’s everyday life at LocalTopia The Wicked Loon in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire — officially known as “The Oldest Summer Resort in America.” We’re looking for energetic international students to join our kitchen crew as Line Cooks for the summer-to-fall season.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Line Cook, you’ll be at the heart of a fast-paced, friendly American kitchen. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking menu items to order — burgers, seafood, salads, appetizers and classic New England comfort food
• Setting up and stocking your station before service and breaking it down afterwards
• Following recipes, portion standards and presentation guidelines
• Working the grill, fryer, sauté and cold prep stations
• Maintaining strict food safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards
• Communicating with servers and teammates during busy dinner rushes
• Assisting with deliveries, inventory and daily prep lists

Wolfeboro is a postcard-perfect lakeside town on Lake Winnipesaukee, surrounded by mountains, forests and crystal-clear water. Summer here means swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, boat cruises, farmers’ markets, fireworks on the Fourth of July, and hiking trails in the nearby White Mountains. In early fall, the famous New England foliage turns the entire region gold and crimson — a view you’ll never forget.

You’re also perfectly positioned for weekend adventures: Boston is about 2 hours away, Portland, Maine around 1.5 hours, and New York City is an easy long-weekend trip.

What We’re Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA J-1 program
• Conversational English and a willingness to learn kitchen terminology
• Ability to stand for long shifts and work in a hot, fast-paced environment
• A positive, team-first attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail
• Previous kitchen or food service experience is a plus, but enthusiasm matters most — we will train the right person
