Why This Job Rocks
Great earnings, better memories. At $16 per hour plus tips, you’ll build up real savings while working in a boutique setting rather than a huge, impersonal hotel. Small team = more responsibility, faster English improvement and genuine friendships with your American hosts and guests.
Mornings that end early. Housekeeping and breakfast shifts typically wrap up in the afternoon, which means your days are free for hiking Mount Battie in Camden Hills State Park, kayaking the harbor, sailing on a classic windjammer schooner, or road-tripping to Acadia National Park.
Stay into the fall. Maine in September and October means fewer crowds, warm days and the world-famous New England autumn foliage — a spectacular way to end your Work & Travel USA summer.
What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 on a J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Conversational English — you’ll be talking with guests daily
- A friendly, guest-focused attitude and a big smile
- Attention to detail and pride in doing a job properly
- Reliability, punctuality and comfort with early morning starts
- Ability to work on your feet and handle light physical tasks
- Previous housekeeping or serving experience is a plus, but training is provided
