Imagine finishing your shift and walking a few minutes to the rim of a sapphire-blue crater lake formed by an ancient volcanic eruption. That’s daily life when you join ExplorUS at Crater Lake, Oregon as a Busser on the Work & Travel USA program. This is more than a summer job – it’s a chance to become part of one of the most spectacular national parks in the United States while building real hospitality experience and international friendships.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Busser, you are the heartbeat of the dining room. You’ll keep the guest experience smooth, fast and welcoming in a busy restaurant serving visitors from all over the world.
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables quickly between guests
- Setting tables with clean linens, cutlery, glassware and condiments
- Refilling water glasses and assisting servers during peak service
- Delivering dishware and glassware to the kitchen and dish area
- Keeping dining areas, service stations and beverage stations stocked and spotless
- Greeting guests with a friendly smile and answering simple questions
- Supporting the team with opening and closing side duties

What We’re Looking For
- University student aged 18–25 with valid J-1 Work & Travel sponsorship
- Conversational English and a friendly, guest-focused attitude
- Strong work ethic and ability to work fast in a busy environment
- Comfortable standing, walking and lifting trays for full shifts
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Team player who is excited about living in a remote, nature-focused location
- Availability from summer through fall preferred
