Housekeeping Crew - Early
Wake Up in the Alaskan Wilderness
Imagine finishing your shift by lunchtime and spending the rest of your day hiking tundra trails, spotting grizzly bears, moose and caribou, or watching the sun refuse to set over North America’s tallest peak. As part of the Housekeeping Crew – Early Shift at Aramark Destinations Denali Park Village, that’s your everyday reality. This is one of the most iconic Work & Travel USA placements available – a summer-to-fall season inside Denali National Park, Alaska.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of the early housekeeping crew, you are the reason guests fall in love with their Alaskan stay. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and refreshing guest rooms, cabins and public areas to Aramark’s high standards
- Changing linens, making beds and restocking amenities and supplies
- Vacuuming, dusting, mopping and sanitising bathrooms
- Collecting and transporting laundry and waste to designated areas
- Reporting maintenance issues and lost-and-found items
- Greeting guests with a friendly smile and helping with simple requests
The early shift typically starts in the morning, which means your afternoons and evenings are free to explore – a huge advantage in a place where daylight lasts nearly 20 hours in summer.
Why Denali National Park?
Denali is six million acres of wild, untouched Alaska – bigger than some European countries and home to just one road. Denali Park Village sits along the Nenana River, minutes from the park entrance, surrounded by spruce forest and mountain views.
- Wildlife: grizzly bears, wolves, Dall sheep, moose and bald eagles
- Adventure: whitewater rafting, ziplining, ATV tours, flightseeing over Denali, hiking and biking
- Midnight sun in summer and the first northern lights as autumn arrives
- International community: hundreds of students and seasonal staff from around the world
