Season End Flex Worker
Work Where the Wild Things Are – Denali National Park, Alaska
Imagine finishing your shift and stepping outside to see snow-capped peaks glowing pink in the midnight sun, moose grazing by the Nenana River, and the first green flickers of the northern lights as autumn arrives. This is everyday life for the team at Aramark Destinations Denali Park Village – and this summer, it could be yours.
We’re looking for energetic university students to join us as Season End Flex Workers in one of the most spectacular places on Earth: the doorstep of Denali National Park and Preserve, home to North America’s highest peak.
About the Role
As a Flex Worker, no two days look the same – and that’s exactly what makes this job so much fun. You’ll be the resort’s most valuable player, moving between departments where you’re needed most and learning a huge range of hospitality skills along the way.
- Supporting front-of-house operations in restaurants, cafés and grab-and-go outlets
- Assisting the housekeeping team in preparing guest cabins to a high standard
- Helping with dining room set-up, bussing, dishwashing and food prep
- Working alongside retail, front desk and guest services teams during busy periods
- Assisting with end-of-season deep cleaning, inventory and property close-down tasks
- Delivering warm, genuine hospitality to travelers from all over the world
Why Denali?
Denali Park Village sits right on the Nenana River, just minutes from the park entrance. On your days off you can hike alpine tundra trails, spot grizzly bears, caribou and Dall sheep on a park bus tour, go whitewater rafting, ride an ATV through the backcountry, or simply sit by the river with your crew and watch the Alaskan light stretch across the sky until midnight.
Because you’re working the summer-to-fall period, you’ll experience something most visitors never see: the tundra turning brilliant red and gold, the crowds thinning out, and the first aurora borealis displays of the season. It’s the most magical time in the park.
What You’ll Get
- $15.00 per hour, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Opportunities for additional hours during peak periods
- Affordable on-site employee housing and meal options
- Employee discounts on tours, activities, dining and retail
- Access to staff recreation programs, hikes and social events
- A U.S. work reference from Aramark, a globally recognized hospitality leader
- Friendships with an international team from dozens of countries
What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 on a valid J-1 Work & Travel USA visa
- Conversational to good English communication skills
- A flexible, can-do attitude – you’re happy to help wherever you’re needed
- Physical stamina for standing, walking and lifting during shifts
- Willingness to live and work in a remote wilderness location with limited connectivity
- Availability for the full summer to fall season
- No tips for this position – your earnings come from your guaranteed hourly wage
