That’s an ordinary morning at Rockywold Deephaven Camps in Holderness, New Hampshire – a legendary family resort on the shores of Squam Lake that has been welcoming guests since 1897. This summer, it could be your American home.
We’re looking for energetic, reliable university students aged 18–25 to join our Housekeeping team for the Summer to Fall season. If you like working with your hands, being part of a close-knit international crew, and finishing your shift with time to swim, hike, or paddle a canoe – keep reading.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Cleaning and preparing guest cottages and lodge rooms between arrivals
- Changing linens, making beds, and refreshing towels and amenities
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and cleaning bathrooms
- Restocking supplies and reporting maintenance needs
- Handling laundry and helping keep common areas spotless
- Greeting guests with a friendly smile and helpful attitude

Holderness sits in the heart of New England’s Lakes Region – the very place where the classic film On Golden Pond was filmed. Squam Lake is famous for its loons, quiet coves, and unforgettable sunsets. On your days off you can hike the trails of the White Mountains, climb West Rattlesnake for a panoramic lake view, kayak, swim, or take a weekend trip to Boston (about 2 hours away), Portland, or even New York City.

- Hours: approximately 40 hours per week
- Season: Summer to Fall

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA program
- Conversational English – enough to communicate with guests and teammates
- Attention to detail and pride in a job done well
- Good physical stamina – the role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and willingness to work as part of a team, including some weekends
- Previous experience is helpful but not required – we train you
