Lake Quinault Lodge is a historic lodge in Quinault, Washington, operated by Aramark Destinations. Built in 1926, the cedar-clad building sits beside a vast lake surrounded by pristine forest and hiking trails. Inside, a huge stone fireplace warms a welcoming lobby where guests read, do jigsaw puzzles, play the piano and play games. The property is made up of three buildings – the lodge itself, the Lakeside building and the Boathouse.
As a seasonal student you'll work in a small, friendly team in a remote natural setting, meet people from around the world and spend your free time outdoors. Aramark is a global leader in professional services.
The job as Resort Worker (Front of House)
What you'll do
- Greet and provide customer service to guests while anticipating their needs
- Supply guests or travelers with directions, travel information, and other information such as available services and points of interest
- Book reservations, rentals, and coordinate registration
- Operate a register and/or software system to complete cash and credit card transactions
- Answer phone calls and emails and deliver messages as needed
- Maintain excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Help restocking product and assisting with retail needs
- Communicate closely with all departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Wipe down tables and chairs after guest use
- Fill condiment dispensers
- Refill paper goods such as straws and napkins
- Sweep and mop the floors
- Operate special equipment like vacuums, etc.
- Move furniture as needed
- Assist the supervisor with any tasks that are needed

Housing
Housing is employer-provided and required: dormitory style, with some small single rooms and others shared with 3 people. Each dorm has one bathroom and houses only one gender. A microwave and fridge are included, while laundry, Wi-Fi and employee meals are available at the lodge, a 5-minute walk away.

Lake Quinault sits in the Quinault Rainforest – one of the only temperate rainforests on Earth – right on the edge of Olympic National Park. On your days off you can hike to waterfalls, kayak on the lake, spot Roosevelt elk, or drive to the wild Pacific coastline at Ruby Beach. Seattle and Portland are both within reach for weekend trips, and Canada isn’t far either.
The lodge itself is a legendary property: President Franklin D. Roosevelt dined here in 1937, and his visit helped inspire the creation of Olympic National Park. You’ll be working inside a piece of American history.
