Job duties
- Assist with painting, basic carpentry tasks under supervision, minor in-room repairs, and responding to maintenance requests.
- Help maintain pool equipment and keep lobbies, walkways, and common areas clean and safe.
- Water flowers, mow lawns, trim shrubs, rake, and sweep parking and outdoor areas to keep the property looking its best.
- Help move and arrange furniture at the beginning and end of the season.
- Collect and remove trash; transport and sort dirty linens and deliver large laundry bags as needed.
- Assist housekeeping with special requests, irons, towels, and other guest needs.
- Pitch in on assorted tasks as assigned to support the team and maintain smooth operations.

We’re looking for hands-on, dependable university students to join our Maintenance team for the Summer to Fall season – and to make this the summer you talk about for years.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Maintenance Assistant, you’re the person who keeps the resort running smoothly and looking sharp for every guest who walks through the door. Your day-to-day will include:
- Performing light repairs and general upkeep in guest rooms, hallways, and common areas (patching, painting, touch-ups, furniture assembly)
- Assisting with basic plumbing and electrical tasks such as changing fixtures, unclogging drains, and replacing bulbs
- Maintaining the pool area, outdoor decks, walkways, and landscaping so everything looks postcard-perfect
- Responding quickly and politely to guest maintenance requests
- Moving and setting up furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Keeping tools, storage rooms, and work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Reporting larger issues to the Maintenance Supervisor and learning from experienced technicians

What We’re Looking For
- University student aged 18–25 with valid J-1 Work & Travel USA sponsorship
- Conversational English (enough to understand instructions and help guests)
- Physically fit – comfortable lifting, bending, climbing stairs, and being on your feet
- Practical mindset and willingness to learn; no prior experience required, but any DIY, technical, or repair background is a bonus
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with schedules including weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude and a genuine desire to help guests
