Job duties
- Assist with all activities and the successful execution of all onsite guest activities and recreational programming, including but not limited to outdoor sports, mini-golf, kid's program, and marina/lakefront rentals and activities.
- Keep all workspaces organized and clean, including sports equipment, lakefront furniture, and other operating equipment.
- Understand and enforce all safety regulations for the lakefront beach.
- Assist guests with watercraft rentals, including accepting payment and scheduling use of watercraft.
- Provide life jackets to all guests renting watercrafts as needed.
- Ensure all guests are greeted properly and assisted with any recreational activities.
- Sell sunscreen, water, snacks or other related retail items to guests using the resort's POS system.
- Be familiar with all activities and recreational offerings at The Lodge at Schroon Lake, including understanding the rules of games and sports offered.
- Ensure all operating and retail inventories are kept stocked and orderly at the lakefront and on the Recreation Complex.
- Keep any retail areas clean and stocked with appropriate inventory.
- Ensure all recreational equipment is kept clean, organized and in good working order.
- Keep beach and lakefront area orderly and clean (summer) and stocked with appropriate inventory.
- Fully understand POS system used for activities and maintain related equipment.
- Work with minimal supervision.

This is a Work & Travel USA position built for outgoing, energetic university students who love people, the outdoors and making memories that last far longer than one summer.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming guests to the recreation and activities center with a big smile and great energy
- Setting up, running and cleaning up daily activities: lawn games, arts & crafts, scavenger hunts, family field days, movie nights and s’mores by the fire pit
- Assisting with beach and waterfront operations – distributing kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, life jackets and towels
- Checking recreational equipment in and out, tracking inventory and keeping gear clean and safe
- Answering guest questions about the resort, local hiking trails, the lake and area attractions
- Maintaining tidy, safe and inviting activity spaces, pool decks and outdoor areas
- Supporting seasonal and holiday events alongside a fun, international team

- Pay: $18.00 per hour
- Hours: approximately 35 hours per week

- Reliable team player, comfortable working weekends, holidays and outdoors in all weather
- Able to stand for long periods and lift recreational equipment (up to ~25 kg)
