General information
Job duties
- Perform daily cleaning of dishes, pot sinks, silverware, glassware, garbage disposal areas, kitchen and food preparation equipment including pots and pans, and employee cafeteria kitchen and kitchen bathrooms.
- Clean dishes and cooking utensils using hand washing and a commercial washing machine.
- Ensure all restaurants have the right amount of plates, glasses and silverware at all times.
- Make sure all hand wash stations are stocked with towels, hand wash soap and sanitizer.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating commercial dishwashing machines to clean plates, glassware, silverware and cookware
- Hand-washing pots, pans and large kitchen equipment
- Keeping the dish pit, sinks and back-of-house areas clean, organized and sanitary
- Sorting and storing clean items so chefs and servers always have what they need
- Taking out trash, breaking down boxes and assisting with recycling
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods and helping with basic prep or cleaning tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 enrolled in the Work & Travel USA program
- Strong work ethic and a positive, team-first attitude
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, warm kitchen environment
- Basic conversational English
- No previous experience required — full training provided
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays and flexible shifts
