That’s a regular workday at Morey’s Piers, one of the most iconic amusement destinations in the United States, stretching along the legendary Wildwood Boardwalk in New Jersey.
As a Ride Operator, you’re not just pushing buttons – you’re the person who makes someone’s summer memory happen. This is a classic American Work & Travel experience, packed with international friends, beach days off, and stories you’ll still be telling years from now.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating amusement rides and attractions safely and confidently following strict safety procedures
- Welcoming guests, checking height and safety requirements, and securing restraints
- Loading and unloading riders quickly and courteously to keep lines moving
- Giving clear instructions and announcements to guests before each ride cycle
- Monitoring ride areas, performing basic opening and closing checks
- Keeping your ride platform and queue area clean, tidy and welcoming
- Answering guest questions about the park, rides and boardwalk with a friendly smile

Morey’s Piers spans three amusement piers and two beachfront waterparks, welcoming millions of visitors each season.
You’re also perfectly placed for weekend adventures – Philadelphia (about 2 hours), Atlantic City (about 45 minutes), New York City, Washington D.C. and Cape May are all within easy reach.
Pay & Benefits
- $15.25 per hour – a strong, reliable wage for your season
- 35 hours per week guaranteed, with the possibility of extra hours during peak season
- Work period: Summer through Fall – one of the longest seasons available, meaning more total earnings

Who We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 enrolled in a Work & Travel USA program
- Good conversational English – you’ll be talking to guests all day
- Outgoing, friendly and genuinely enjoy being around people
- Responsible and safety-focused – guests’ wellbeing is in your hands
- Comfortable standing for long periods and working outdoors in sun, heat and occasional rain
- Reliable, punctual and ready to work weekends, evenings and holidays
- Available for the full season, ideally from late May/June through September or later
