• All uniformed employees must wear required uniform provided by the Hotel. • Pantyhose must be worn at all times with skirts, dresses, or dress slacks. Hosiery or dress socks may be worn with slacks or pants. • Pants must be worn at or above the waistline and belts must be worn if pants have a belt loop. The belt must be a standard, professional belt (black or brown only) that matches the uniform and are approved by management. No large or noticeable belt buckles.

About the Position: Steward

The Stewarding team is the backbone of every kitchen at The Broadmoor. Without you, the chefs simply couldn’t create the magic that guests rave about. It’s active, fast-paced work in a fun, multicultural team where you’ll build real friendships with students from all over the world.

Your Daily Duties

  • Operating industrial dishwashing machines and maintaining a steady flow of clean china, glassware, silverware and cookware
  • Washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment by hand when needed
  • Keeping kitchen floors, work surfaces and dish areas clean, organised and safe
  • Transporting clean equipment to kitchens, banquet areas and outlets
  • Assisting chefs and kitchen staff with basic prep support and deliveries
  • Sorting and removing rubbish and recycling according to hotel standards
  • Following all health, hygiene and food safety regulations

Compensation & Schedule

  • Hourly rate: $16.07 per hour
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (overtime may be available during peak periods)
  • Season: Summer to Fall – one of the busiest and most exciting times at the resort
  • Tips: Not applicable for this position

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled university student, aged 18–25
  • Valid J-1 Work & Travel visa eligibility
  • Conversational English – enough to understand instructions and communicate with your team
  • Good physical stamina: you’ll be standing, walking and lifting up to 15–20 kg
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid kitchen environment
  • Reliable, punctual and a genuine team player
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Availability from summer through fall
