About the Position: Steward
The Stewarding team is the backbone of every kitchen at The Broadmoor. Without you, the chefs simply couldn’t create the magic that guests rave about. It’s active, fast-paced work in a fun, multicultural team where you’ll build real friendships with students from all over the world.
Your Daily Duties
- Operating industrial dishwashing machines and maintaining a steady flow of clean china, glassware, silverware and cookware
- Washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment by hand when needed
- Keeping kitchen floors, work surfaces and dish areas clean, organised and safe
- Transporting clean equipment to kitchens, banquet areas and outlets
- Assisting chefs and kitchen staff with basic prep support and deliveries
- Sorting and removing rubbish and recycling according to hotel standards
- Following all health, hygiene and food safety regulations
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly rate: $16.07 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week (overtime may be available during peak periods)
- Season: Summer to Fall – one of the busiest and most exciting times at the resort
- Tips: Not applicable for this position

Requirements
- Currently enrolled university student, aged 18–25
- Valid J-1 Work & Travel visa eligibility
- Conversational English – enough to understand instructions and communicate with your team
- Good physical stamina: you’ll be standing, walking and lifting up to 15–20 kg
- Ability to work in a hot, humid kitchen environment
- Reliable, punctual and a genuine team player
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Availability from summer through fall
