About the Position

As part of a friendly, international kitchen team, you’ll help create delicious meals for visitors from all over the world who come to experience Lake Powell and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

• Position: Food Prep Worker (Kitchen / Cook Assistant)
• Employer: Aramark Destinations South Lake Powell
• Location: Page, Arizona, USA
• Pay Rate: $17.75 per hour
• Hours: approximately 32 hours per week (with the possibility of additional hours during peak season)
• Season: Summer to Fall

Your Daily Duties

• Washing, peeling, chopping and portioning fresh fruit, vegetables and other ingredients
• Preparing salads, sandwiches, sides and simple hot dishes under the guidance of the cooks
• Assembling plates and supporting the line during busy service periods
• Following strict food safety, hygiene and HACCP-style standards
• Keeping prep areas, equipment, fridges and storage clean and organised
• Receiving deliveries, rotating stock and labelling products correctly
• Working as part of a fast-paced team and communicating clearly in English

Requirements

• Full-time university student aged 18–25, eligible for the Work & Travel USA J-1 program
• Conversational English – enough to follow kitchen instructions and work in a team
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift/carry kitchen items
• Comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but full training is provided
