General information
Job duties
- Prepare and serve food and beverage to guests.
- Follow recipes and ServSafe food preparation procedures to provide quality food and beverage.
- Maintain the pool area, including trash pick up, towel distribution and collection, arranging/stacking pool chairs, and opening/closing table umbrellas.
- Greet all customers with a warm and sincere smile and greeting.
- Display exceptional customer service at all times.
- Prepare the concession stand for events by stocking products (such as cups and napkins) in convenient and accessible locations, including condiment carts.
- Maintain counters and containers in clean condition, free of crumbs and spills at all times.
- Assist with beginning inventory levels prior to events and provide inventory counts before the end of shift.
- Upsell products to guests.
- Sell and serve alcohol.
- Maintain a cash drawer and process sales through cash, credit cards, or travelers checks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming and assisting guests at the resort pool area, creating a friendly and safe atmosphere
- Monitoring the pool deck and ensuring all safety rules and regulations are followed
- Setting up, arranging, and maintaining pool furniture, umbrellas, and towel stations
- Keeping the pool area clean, tidy, and guest-ready throughout your shift
- Distributing fresh towels and collecting used ones
- Answering guest questions about resort facilities and local attractions
- Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to your supervisor
- Working as part of an international team to deliver excellent guest service

- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA J-1 programme
- Conversational English – enough to chat comfortably with guests
- A positive, guest-focused attitude and a genuine smile
- Comfortable working outdoors in hot desert temperatures
- Physically able to stand, walk, lift and move pool furniture during shifts
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
