What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the friendly first face guests meet when they come to rent a boat and explore Lake Powell. Working indoors at the rental desk, your daily duties include:
- Greeting guests warmly and helping them choose the right boat or watercraft for their trip
- Processing rental reservations, check-ins and check-outs using the computer system
- Handling payments accurately and explaining rental agreements, safety rules and equipment
- Answering questions about the lake, marina services, tours and local attractions
- Coordinating with the dock and marina teams so guests get on the water smoothly
- Keeping the front desk area tidy, organized and welcoming
- Solving small problems with a big smile – guest satisfaction is the goal!

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 with a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Conversational to good English – you’ll be talking with guests all day
- A positive, guest-focused attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable with computers, cash handling and basic math
- Reliable and punctual – early shifts mean early mornings
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal resort environment
- Ability to arrive early in the season and stay through the agreed period
- Prepared for a remote location with hot desert summers
