What You’ll Be Doing
As a Dockhand on the boat rental team, you’ll be right where the action is – on the docks, on the water and in the middle of every guest’s adventure. Your daily duties will include:
- Welcoming guests at the marina and helping them check in for their boat rentals
- Assisting with docking, tying off, fuelling and launching powerboats, kayaks and paddle boards
- Giving guests a friendly safety orientation and basic boat-handling tips
- Cleaning, inspecting and preparing rental boats between trips
- Loading and unloading equipment, life jackets and supplies
- Keeping the docks tidy, safe and looking great for the next group of visitors
No previous marina experience is required – full training is provided. What matters most is a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to work hard as part of a team.

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the J-1 Work & Travel USA programme
- Conversational English and confident communication with guests
- Comfortable working outdoors in hot, sunny desert conditions
- Physically fit – the role involves lifting, bending and being on your feet
- Team players who are punctual, safety-minded and ready for early starts
- Swimming ability is strongly recommended
