Housing is guaranteed by the employer, though you may arrange your own if you prefer; a second job here is unlikely.

Job duties
- Performs a variety of entry-level dishwashing tasks.
- Routinely cleans, washes and stores food and beverage service items, equipment, and the kitchen area.
- May also monitor/clean the team dining room and set up and break down team dining buffet lines.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned.
- Work in designated station set by the Location Chef / Sous Chef.
- May work in guest restaurants or Employee Dining Room as needed and as assigned.
- Keeps all kitchen areas, equipment, machines, etc. clean, sanitized and organized during individual shift.
- Assist all cooks and chefs as necessary.
- Assist in daily cleaning and sanitation duties.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining room materials.
- Follow all machine cleaning procedures.
- Assist all cooks in daily preparation of menu items.
- May periodically train new employees or staff from other departments.
- Complies with all health and safety codes in handling and storage of all food products and kitchen equipment.

HAP Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge in Fairbanks, Alaska is looking for energetic international students to join its kitchen team as Dish Stewards for the Summer to Fall season.
This is one of Alaska’s most iconic riverside lodges, welcoming travelers from all over the world who come to explore Denali, the Arctic Circle and the Alaskan wilderness. Behind every great guest experience is a strong back-of-house team – and that could be you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating the industrial dishwashing machine and hand-washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Keeping dishes, glassware, cutlery and cookware clean, sanitized and ready for service
- Maintaining a clean and organized dish area, kitchen floors and work stations
- Taking out trash, breaking down boxes and supporting recycling procedures
- Assisting chefs and kitchen staff with basic prep tasks and stocking supplies
- Following all health, safety and food-handling standards

Who We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the J-1 Work & Travel USA program
- Conversational English – enough to understand instructions and work with a team
- Physically fit: able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 22 kg and work in a warm, humid kitchen
- Reliable, punctual and happy to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a genuine team-player mindset
- No previous experience required – full training is provided
