Job duties
- Clean assigned public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, carpets, public bathrooms, conference rooms, stairwells, restaurant areas, outdoor spaces and other designated amenities and areas to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collect, sort, wash, dry and fold linen from various departments.
- Dust all surfaces, remove trash, vacuum carpets, and clean bathroom sinks and toilets daily.
- Clean public areas including lobby, restrooms, stairwells, hallways, conference rooms and offices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Public Area Attendant, you’ll be part of a friendly, international team that keeps this beautiful property looking its absolute best.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Cleaning and maintaining lobbies, hallways, lounges, meeting rooms and public restrooms
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing surfaces throughout the property
- Keeping entrances, outdoor seating areas and riverside walkways tidy and welcoming
- Restocking supplies and reporting maintenance issues to the housekeeping team
- Greeting guests with a smile and answering simple questions or directing them to the front desk
- Supporting your housekeeping colleagues during busy check-in and check-out periods
What You’ll Earn
- $16.00 per hour – a strong rate that reflects Alaska’s higher wages
- 40 guaranteed hours per week, with possible overtime during peak season
- Season runs from summer through autumn – one of the longest and most rewarding programme periods available

- University students aged 18–25 enrolled in a Work & Travel USA programme
- Conversational English – enough to greet guests and follow instructions

- Physical stamina: you’ll be on your feet, walking, bending and lifting throughout your shift
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
