LOGE Glacier is a lodging and recreation spot in Essex, Montana, a small mountain community right next to Glacier National Park. It is part of Schulte Hospitality.
As a seasonal student you stay in onsite housing and join the meal program, with staff events and fun summer activities organised by the team. In your free time you can pick from over 700 miles of trails in Glacier or the closer Essex Creek Trail, rafting and kayaking on lively rapids, fishing, wildlife watching, mountain biking and a zip line course through the Montana forests.
The job as Line Cook
What you'll do
- Prepare menu items from scratch ingredients with the kitchen team, ensuring successful and timely execution of the menu.
- Maintain an understanding of all menu items and ingredients and assist guests with any dietary or preparation questions and suggestions.
- Develop prep and order specifications derived from multiple recipes at an assigned kitchen station.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure that the kitchen is properly stocked.
- Follow safety and cleanliness standards and protocols for all assigned kitchen stations.
- Participate in cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the kitchen.
- Jump in whenever needed to help the team with standard kitchen duties.
- Have a working knowledge of how to operate and deep clean all kitchen equipment.
- Support catering efforts for special events and group meetings.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the Head Chef.

Housing
The employer guarantees employer-owned or employer-arranged housing for all hired participants, though you may choose to find your own place instead. Rooms include a refrigerator and bedding/linen is provided; most rooms have a microwave, otherwise there is a shared kitchen. Some units have a private bath, others shared, and most have air conditioning. A lease agreement is required.
