As a seasonal student you'll work in a busy hotel environment alongside other students and local staff — a good way to practise your English and gain hospitality experience. In your free time there's the beach, the boardwalk and the many events the town hosts each summer, including some for J-1 students. Baltimore and Washington, D.C. are about 150 miles away, and New York City around 230 miles.

Housing
Housing is not provided by the employer – you arrange your own through local resources such as Summer Semester Apartments, EPoint, All Friends and Let's Go, and should start right after hire, as Ocean City housing fills quickly. Housing is usually 1–2 miles from the store; most participants walk or bike, and the Coastal Highway Beach Bus is available. Within walking distance you'll find a food market, shopping mall, bank, restaurants, fitness center and internet cafe.
