General information
Job duties
- Clean tables, remove dirty dishes, replace soiled table linens, set tables.
- Replenish supply of clean linens, polish silverware, glassware and dishware.
- Serve items such as water, condiments and coffee to patrons.
- Clean equipment in food service areas or other areas of the restaurant; mop and vacuum floors.
- Clean up spilled food, drink or broken dishes, carry dishes and other tableware to kitchen for cleaning.
- Maintain/stock adequate supplies of items such as condiments, clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes and trays during service.
- Locate items requested by customers, servers and management.
- Serve ice water, coffee, rolls or butter to patrons.
- Wipe tables and seats with dampened cloths or replace dirty tablecloths.
- Fill beverage and ice dispensers.
- Set and reset tables as needed pursuant to business demands or as requested by management.
- Assist in serving food to customers when waiters or waitresses need assistance.
- Clean and organize server storeroom areas and glassware storage.
- Additional duties may be added at the discretion of Reeds management.

The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor, New Jersey is looking for energetic, friendly university students to join its restaurant team as Bussers for the Summer to Fall season.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables quickly between guests
- Supporting servers and bartenders to keep service running smoothly
- Refilling water, delivering bread and assisting with food running
- Keeping dining areas, service stations and the patio clean and organized
- Restocking glassware, silverware, linens and supplies
- Greeting guests with a smile and helping create a memorable experience
Pay & Benefits
- $6.25 per hour (tipped position) plus tips – bussers here share in a busy, high-volume tip pool

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 with a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa
- Conversational English and a confident, friendly attitude

- Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays
- Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but not required – full training provided
