What You’ll Be Doing
As a Marina Services Dockhand – Boat Rentals (Early Shift), your office is the dock. Your day-to-day includes:
- Welcoming guests, checking in and out rental boats, kayaks, paddleboards and personal watercraft
- Safely docking, mooring, fueling and moving boats around the marina
- Cleaning and inspecting vessels between rentals, reporting any damage
- Loading and unloading gear, life jackets and supplies for guests
- Giving friendly safety briefings and basic operating instructions
- Keeping docks tidy, organized and safe for everyone
The early shift means you catch the sunrise over the lake — and finish with plenty of daylight left to explore.

- Hours: approx. 32 hours per week (extra hours often available in peak season)
- Season: Summer to Fall
What You Need
- University student aged 18–25 eligible for the J-1 Work & Travel USA program
- Conversational English and a genuinely friendly attitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in hot, sunny desert conditions
- Physically fit – you’ll be lifting, bending and standing for most of your shift
- Comfortable around water; basic swimming ability
- Reliable, punctual and happy to start early
- Team player who enjoys meeting new people every day
