The job as Restaurant Kitchen Worker
What you'll do
- Sets up and stocks stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients
- Prepares basic components of each dish on the menu using proven recipes
- Memorizes and utilizes serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen
- Ensures that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards
- Works with the team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
- Monitors product freshness and rotates out old products based on a schedule
- Operates an industrial dishwasher safely and rapidly
- Follows sanitation and safety policies at all times
- Performs daily duties such as opening, closing, and side work
- Uses basic janitorial skills to clean up spills, broken glassware, etc. immediately
- Washes dishes and cleans

Housing
The housing is dormitory-style, located on the second floor directly above Bogart's Restaurant and reached by a flight of stairs, so it's right at your workplace. You share a bedroom with one other person, with eight people in total. There's a shared living area with a TV, a shared kitchen, two bathrooms, bedding, WiFi and on-site laundry.
