General information
Job duties
- Sets up and stocks stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients
- Prepares basic components of each dish on the menu using proven recipes
- Memorizes and utilizes serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen
- Ensures that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards
- Works with the team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
- Monitors product freshness and rotates out old product based on a schedule
- Operates an industrial dishwasher safely and rapidly
- Follows sanitation and safety policies at all times
- Performs daily duties such as opening, closing, and side work
- Washes dishes and cleans
- Uses basic janitorial skills to clean up spills, broken glassware, etc. immediately

- Hourly wage: $15.00 per hour
- Hours: approximately 40 hours per week

What We’re Looking For
- University students aged 18–25 eligible for the J-1 Work & Travel USA program
- Conversational English (enough to communicate with the kitchen team)
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to work as part of a team
- Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 15–20 kg
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn — experience is welcome but not required
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
