Imagine finishing your shift and walking out to a view of Denali (Mt. McKinley) glowing pink in the midnight sun. That’s daily life at HAP Mt McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge in Trapper Creek, Alaska – one of the most spectacular Work & Travel USA locations on the planet. We’re hiring Dish Stewards for the Summer to Fall season, and this is your chance to trade lecture halls for glacier views.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Dish Steward, you are the backbone of the lodge’s kitchen operation. Nothing gets plated without you. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Operating commercial dishwashing machines to clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans
• Washing, sanitizing and organizing kitchen equipment and utensils
• Keeping the dish pit, kitchen floors and work areas clean, safe and organized
• Removing trash, recycling and compost, and assisting with deliveries and stocking
• Supporting chefs and servers during busy meal periods with basic food prep or restocking
• Following all health, safety and sanitation standards

Pay & Benefits

• $16.00 per hour
• 40 hours per week guaranteed schedule, with overtime opportunities during peak season

What We’re Looking For

• University students aged 18–25 on a valid J-1 Work & Travel USA visa
• Conversational English and a friendly, team-first attitude
• Physical stamina – you’ll be standing, lifting up to 20 kg and moving throughout your shift
• Reliability, punctuality and pride in a job well done
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Willingness to live and work in a remote wilderness setting
• No previous experience required – full training provided
