About the Position: Luggage Handler (Houseperson)

As a Luggage Handler, you’re the first friendly face guests meet when they arrive at the lodge and the last one they thank when they leave. It’s an active, social, on-your-feet role – perfect if you’d rather move around and meet people than sit still.

• Greet arriving guests with a warm welcome and help them feel at home
• Load, unload, sort and deliver luggage to guest rooms quickly and carefully
• Assist with motorcoach and rail transfer arrivals and departures
• Support housekeeping and houseperson duties: restocking supplies, keeping public areas and hallways clean and tidy
• Answer basic guest questions about the lodge, trails and activities
• Work as part of an international team of students from around the world

What We’re Looking For

• University student aged 18–25 eligible for the Work & Travel USA (J-1) program
• Conversational English and a genuinely friendly, guest-focused attitude
• Good physical fitness – you’ll be lifting luggage (up to ~23 kg / 50 lbs) and walking a lot
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working in a team
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Readiness for life in a remote wilderness location (limited shopping, changeable weather, mosquitoes included!)
• No previous experience required – full training provided
